Blog 7: Modern Symbolism

Modern Art is about the new art forms that have appeared from the 1860s up to the 1970s. Its new style was the stepping stone for Abstract art works. Most of the scenes depicts true events which are realistic, impressionistic, that are not literal but are symbolical. They more fond of the placing reality in their small and big canvases.

But what i do love about Modern Art is this:

The New Art-"art nouveau" is something inspiring for me. I do love the styles of it just before i found out what it is called. The decorative styles of flowers and plants curving in and out is pretty simple to add on a project and gives attractiveness. Today, it is widely used in scrap booking (how i love to make one!), in jewelries (the new styling techniques), and the styling of buildings, etc.
Vector art are mostly inspire with art nouveau

During also this time, people or artists express their political opinions through their artworks (can be a criticism or not). Their freedom to show their feeling was given freely like what we can exercise today. But knowing also their limitations, we should not abuse this kind of activity. Perhaps our motives should be for our positive purposes.

And Fauvism is a style of painting that also emerged during that time. Playing the play of colors even though these hues are not really the real color of an image. This kind of play with colors doesn't make the painting look farther than what it really seem to be, but is used to just give new look for paintings.

Modern Artists do love to experiment with their moods, its just a matter of texture, brushstrokes, colors mixed with emotions. So there :)
